I have been working at BlueBay Asset Management full-time

    Pros

Very flat structure for front-office investment professionals. People frequently debate and challenge each other's ideas. Everyone is able to voice thoughts without thinking too much about their ranks and etc. Transparent investment process. Fast career progression and rewarding compensation for those who take ownership and generate alpha. Work hard and play hard culture. Collegial co-coworkers and management genuinely cares about those below. Excellent healthcare and pension benefits. Great track-record for a number of products and well-respected in the fixed-income industry. Lots of learning opportunities and exposure for anyone who is willing to reach out and do the hard work.

    Cons

Nothing I can think of. Perhaps better IT system. However, the system is already miles ahead of other competitors.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the good work going!

I have been working at BlueBay Asset Management full-time

    Pros

Work/life balance, great communication among employees given its a small office

    Cons

All the managers are mainly in UK, everything is decided there. Gives off a feeling that the US office is left behind, they were going through funding issues

I worked at BlueBay Asset Management full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Only pros I can think about is the location

    Cons

Terrible place to be in. Need to know how to please your manager. Uses bonus carrot to bully and a way of saying good bye. Think twice before you join IT department. Couple of people rule the IT if you are not in their good books you will be get bullied every day.

    Advice to Management

Remove bonus from the benefit package from every staff other than sales and profit centre. Create a fearless atmosphere to work (especially in IT)
