Pros

None as of today March 15, 2019

Cons

Lied to & betrayed. Came to work at Bioscrip right after the reorganization. Was promised everything any employee would want to hear, we are growing, we are expanding, there is room for personal growth, professional advancement. It is goal to be the leader in this advancing, progressive area of healthcare. Today I learned it was all a lie. Work in reimbursement, we have been working long hard hours being told we need to bring in more money, reduce outstanding account balances, etc. I wonder how long the negotiations have been going on with Option Care. Our CEO sold us out. As we were buying into his propaganda - he was busy preparing his gilded golden parachute. Today in his announcement, his main concern was not for his employees future. Do not take a job with this company. Tomorrow your job will be located in another state being performed by a Option Care Employee. We were told today that Our CEO is stepping down to be a consultant for the board of directors & that it is the CEO of Option Care & their management team at the helm - do not trust them they will use you and toss you aside like garbage. When Bioscrip was consolidating their reimbursement centers, there was no warning. They just walked in the door and said thank you for playing today is your last day.

The ship is sinking

Pros

There are many good people that keep hanging on hoping that the CEO and COO will be exposed

Cons

The Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Information officer and Chief Human Resources Officer have all resigned in the same week. If that doesn’t say something about the extreme dysfunction, I’m not sure what would. The CEO and COO are bullies, publicly humiliate people and lead through intimidation. Bankruptcy is exactly where this company is headed.

The statements made in this review are 100% false. Yes, prior to the current management team joining BioScrip in 2016, the Company was headed for bankruptcy. Since the new management team, BioScrip has seen significant and historic improvement in EBITDA, gross profit margin, operating expense, cash flow and valuation. The management team also refinanced the Company in the second quarter of 2017. Bonuses were paid for the first time since 2009. Approximately 90 teammates received equity for the first time. The future is very bright for BioScrip with the best leadership team in the industry.

No Retirement, No Raises, Unethical

Pros

It is a paycheck while looking for a better and more stable company.

Cons

I came into a company who said there was a 401K match and yearly raises. I quickly learned this was not true. I had no on boarding, no welcome and no training. Cultivates no one on one coaching or conversations about issues. Instead, a third party ends up complaining about something not being done correctly and it eventually trickles its way down to the individual(s) in the form of a negative instead of being proactive and train the staff. The lack of communication is also big problem in this organization. The CEO knows how to manage "things" but not people. He can be motivating but he uses fowl language such as the "F" word over public web addresses to the organization which makes it hard to respect him or take him seriously. He has been able to make a positive impact on the bottom line in a short time but at the cost of creating resentment and distrust of employees across the board which is evident in the high turn over rate. They have cut PTO, no 401 K match, cut mileage reimbursement, no wellness program and no raises but expects the masses to applaud them for not raising the cost of medical benefits. We have less employees but more work added to each persons plate leaving no work/life balance. I wish they had allowed me to make a important life decision based on the truth instead of misrepresenting this job to me.
