Pros

$20 DoorDash Credit on Wednesdays: Flex Time: Offers scheduling flexibility to better balance work and personal life. Affordable Benefits: Benefit packages are relatively inexpensive if you opt for the high deductible plan.

Cons

Lack of Company Culture: No clear vision or values, which lead to an uninspiring work environment and failed to foster collaboration and trust. No Salary Increases or Bonuses: Employees rarely receive raises, bonuses, or performance-based rewards, impacting morale and financial well-being. Low Employee Happiness: Without a focus on well-being or work-life balance, job satisfaction is low, which can lead to disengagement and burnout. High Turnover: The absence of investment in culture and employee growth often results in higher attrition rates, disrupting continuity and productivity. Limited Professional Growth: A lack of training, development opportunities, and promotions left employees feeling undervalued. Poor Communication: Without an emphasis on transparency and feedback, employees feel isolated, uninformed, or unsupported by leadership. Diminished Team Morale: When the company doesn’t actively work to make employees happy, team cohesion suffers, leading to a fragmented and unmotivated workforce.

Pros

Caused so much perpetual anxiety that it was almost a relief to lose my job. I guess that’s a pro?

Cons

I am lost for words. While at biointellisense I was regularly told that my performance was not meeting their expectations — but leadership was incapable of providing concrete examples of what wasn’t working, providing a performance improvement plan, or even giving more direct feedback than suggesting it might be an issue with my personality (yea…). I have never before received feedback like that, and for what it’s worth was working really long exhausting hours to try to meet their moving goal posts. Regularly had panic attacks, and felt completely alone probably because everyone at the company is similarly terrified of stepping a toe out of the invisible lines that leadership is setting. Never once interacted with execs, there was no cross functional collaboration. Nobody even turns their camera on, which probably helps if you’re not interested in making personal connections so that you can get rid of people without feeling guilty. It really felt to me like the minute the company realized that I had other interests/ priorities in addition to work (for example a family, diverse interests) they decided to replace me with someone cheaper who is willing to sell their soul in order to succeed. I experienced such an identity crisis due to the impossible standards that I genuinely wish I had taken the advice of other reviews and stayed away in the first place. No job is worth losing faith in your intellect, sense of self, or the inevitable loss of work. It doesn’t bring my any joy to say it. Trust yourself, and don’t settle. You deserve better.
