Pros

Flexible, ish. Remote. And because remote, they don't care what you do so long as the job gets done.

Cons

They preach transparency while practicing the opposite. Honest and open questions are met with non-answer answers. Entire teams are fired because leadership feels like it. That's before I get to the underwhelming salary, or the fact that tech support is now sales. If you work here, update your resume today. If you want to work here, please reconsider. You'll thank me later.

Pros

- Work from anywhere in the world, no strings attached. - Once a year meetup for the entire division. - Once or twice a year team meetups. - Generous home office budget. - Outside of North America, compensation is good compared to local standards.

Cons

The CEO likes to micromanage, going from project to project. It's called the M-Bomb and many folks (but not white males) have been demoted or chased out of the company for not working on what he he considers as important. On the other hand, white males are allowed to make huge revenue-impacting mistakes yet not asked to resign. Despite all the talk about openness, communication as oxygen, pay transparency does not exist, and management actively shuts down related efforts. Anything you say publicly in internal communications can and will be used against you. Many folks whom stood up to the management/CEO have been "let go". An entire team can be cut in one day without so much as a warning, no PIP, no documented warnings. Just gone like that, and an outright lie provided as the justification which no one believes. This is a company whose culture used to be a shining example of how to run a company. It is now on the downhill and everyone is looking over their shoulders because you could be next on the arbitrary layoff list. Little room for growth. Team Lead is a "volunteer" position, with no corresponding pay increase but you're expected to do more.

Pros

Most people stay because it’s truly remote and there’s lots of free travel. If you can fly under the radar, it’s pretty easy here.

Cons

- Top leadership is erratic and inexperienced, at times abusive and paranoid. - blame for missing revenue targets is directed at the ground level instead of decision makers - huge layoffs
