Pros

Worked full time- pay was decent, good if you have no previous experience or degree. Coworkers were awesome! So friendly and nice. Everyone was a strong team player and I didn’t meet a single coworker I felt uncomfortable with or who came off as difficult. Everyone worked really hard regardless of what team they were on. The work hard, play hard mentality was definitely here. HR tried hard to make AP a great place to work. Micromanaging wasn’t an issue and the environment was laid back. I loved that everyone was free to be themselves and own their personality. The company had monthly lunches and some holiday events. No overtime, left early on Friday. Relaxed PTO

Cons

Management is an utter disaster. People begin in one department, departments are laid off, and workers are moved to another department under the impression that they have a choice, had they said no, they would have been laid off as well. Communications between departments is non-existent. Sales is very much the golden child that is led by one manager who takes care of his own. Every other department is led by a single manager who also dips their toes in every other aspect of Asset Panda. They are unreasonably spread thin. Not even a year in, departments were laid off, wages were reduced. Towards the end of my stay at AP the whole company seemed to be spiraling. Remote work was mandated and the main office was closed. There were major layoffs across all departments not once, but twice over a two day period. Overall the company felt very unstable in such a short period of time. Avoid working here for some time so they may get it together.

Pros

Cool environment, laid back. No dress code, they have pandas all over the office. At first, it is exciting to be apart of such a "fast growing company", "INC 5000" etc.... They do pay for a gym membership in the building after 90 days, that's nice of them.

Cons

The company is in way over their head. They doubled in size within a year all just to lay me and a few other co-workers off (as a GROUP, may I add. Extremely unprofessional. ) all due to "budgeting reasons". They move people around within different departments with really no choice, "move or get let go" and then get upset when they fail at the position they were forced to be in. I was moved departments, then told my new department was going to expand 10 more people and then, 2 weeks later... my new department was no longer necessary to asset panda and everyone was either moved or let go. I knew within weeks of being employed at Asset Panda that there was not enough work for the amount of people in my department. But with so many changes, they assured us things would eventually be divided evenly. Instead, they waited until weeks before the holidays to let people go. I should have know when multiple people mentioned how bad turn over is at Asset Panda. The concept of the company over all is cool, they have some very well known clients. But, they have made so many mistakes up to today in their sales process to make a quick buck, its biting them in the behind and everyone else is paying for it. or....not getting paid for it in my case.

Pros

Each team becomes a second family to you quickly, so you enjoy working with them a lot. "Work hard, play hard". The company tries to provide lunches a few times a month and have special holiday celebrations - so it's always cheerful. Flex hours for start/end times. Most teams are receptive to feedback on fixing issues.

Cons

Team to team communication is poor. You will never advance past a "team lead" position (and even then, the title of "team lead" is laughable). Outside hires for management roles with no experience, management end up not doing their jobs and you will have to make up for what they lack (it has happened multiple times.) HR is there to protect the management - not employees - and even when presented with indisputable evidence on management presenting false data, not doing their jobs, not showing up - there is no reprimand for them. CEO is more concerned with appearances on how successful the company is to PR or online personas, than is to listening to problems and actually making business decisions to fix internal issues.
