Nit Picky and Frustrating

Pros

Make your own hours and schedule

Cons

Easy to get burnt out due to a high number of unsuccessful calls because patients don’t pick the phone and when they do they either are not interested in the CMR/TMR service or have already been contacted by someone else from within the network or outside it. All the Pharmacists are fighting for scraps and competing against each other, screwing the patient in the process and no wonder so many of them are rude and mad when you call or just hang up. No contact = No payment. Also, they will never say you did a good job unless you completed a certain number of CMR’s but mistakes they’ll jump on and send you an email nit picking everything. They want you to go above and beyond which is only possible if you you can reach patient’s and if the patients are cooperative. Realistically most of them don’t care and just want to get off the phone or trust their doctors more than the pharmacist and are not interested.

So far discouraged

Pros

Work from home when you want to. The app and process is easy to learn. They’re are supportive resources for pharmacists and daily meetings that you can join if you want to ask questions or learn more. Great practice for motivational interviewing and patient counseling.

Cons

So far out of over 150 calls I have been able to complete 4 total TMRs. No takers at all on CMRs which pay better. It is not so much that people refuse as much as they just don’t answer the phone. There are huge numbers of opportunities in the patient pool to call, but nobody will answer the calls. You may spend hours cold calling these patients without making a dime, and you may get a good response and make a lot. So far I am very discouraged by the number of calls needed to get any patients to answer and agree.

Ridiculous

Pros

Pay, benefits were good enough to shake a stick at

Cons

I've never seen so many over-qualified well-intentioned people wasting effort putting lipstick on a pig and selling it. I was told I was not to use words like "ridiculous", which tragically was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard. I held my tongue, but I'm free man now! I was also told not to use metaphors. It was also made clear that my questions were at best tolerated and should be kept to a minimum. As a person hired to do quality..... yeah. The place was, as a whole, ridculous.
