Pros

I have had three former jobs and I say that each and every day, I am incredibly grateful to be employed at AskforTask! As a small business owner myself who understands how hard it is to earn money, I absolutely love training taskers on how to optimize their success on our platform. It's super rewarding to know that I'm helping business owners and entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level! As it is a demanding role, a healthy work-life balance is also super important to me. AskforTask provides us with a good amount of Holidays, work-from-home options, and excellent benefits that allow me to maintain that ideal work-life balance. One of my favorite things about working here is that I love how challenging the work environment is! AskforTask continues to push me to bring my best each day, think outside the box, consider different perspectives, and constantly level up. Most importantly, the people I work with are all fantastic, genuinely driven people who contribute to the culture in a very positive way! If you ask me, You should definitely consider applying for being part of the AskforTask Family!

Cons

The relentlessly thoughtful decision-making process in all aspects of the business means that the company moves a bit more slowly than it perhaps should at times. For example, heavy focus on the world-class engineering team to build the best product in the industry has proven to be a major bottleneck. As a result, teams that could get by with less than world-class engineers are left without any engineering resources at all. Also as a result the product has a long list of very small bugs and flaws that go left unaddressed, and there are clearly areas of the company set up years ago that have been given no thought in a while as the company is focusing on expansion and capturing market share. In my opinion, there is a huge opportunity for new hires to fix these things and help this company get to the next level.

Pros

I have worked at multiple startups before. I applied for AskforTask as my cousin regularly uses the service and suggested some feedback on the app. I personally tried it and decided to send feedback to the company along with my resume without any expectations. They responded to me quickly and set me up for an interview as they were actively hiring. I went through a rigorous process and was offered the job. I wasn't really looking to make a move but loved the story and founders and decided to join. The clarity on expectations and initial training was pretty intense for the first 90 days. This is highly organized and methodical which allows any new team member to self-guide as well as gives opportunities to connect with key team members for collaboration. This is especially great with remote onboarding right now due to the new reality we live in.

Cons

As the onboarding is self-led, there is a risk of being 'alone' a lot as you start. You also have to figure out a lot of things yourself. This could be amazing for someone who likes to have autonomy but for some, it could be a bit overwhelming. It's important to be a self-starter and reach out to the team and the leadership as they are always proactively helping out.
