Was once a great job

Pros

The warehouse employees are all helpful, friendly, and great to work with. The 10 hour, 4 days on, 4 days off, rotating schedule is nice.. Automatic time and a half on Saturdays and Sundays

Cons

Where to start? They brought in more new managers, leads, and supervisors than they actually needed. There are multiple superiors on each of the 4 shift teams, but there's less than 15 machine operators per shift. To be able to pay their salaries, they got rid of more than half of the warehouse staff. And to compensate for having a smaller workforce, they have more than doubled the workload on the remaining employees. I'm all for trying to make job and employee processes more efficient by cutting out useless steps and wasted motions. But things have gone far beyond that. Management has taken all the individuality out of the job. This was once a great place to work, with the opportunity for each individual to learn as much about machining as they wanted to. You used to move around and learn how to operate a new machine every two to three weeks. The potential to learn was endless. But with the changes employed by the new management team, that's a thing of the past. They don't rotate machine operators anymore. They want you to stay in your same area, and behave as a robot. Morale is down, as everyone is in fear of being the next one to lose their job. People are scared to even take a bathroom break. Its just sad. On top of all that, Human Resources is a complete joke. You have to basically do her job for her, because if you don't stay on top of her and remind her of EVERYTHING multiple times, it'll never get done. The benefits are garbage
