      Holiday shut down otherwise none.

      Cons

      Horrible, toxic work environment. Save your sanity and find work elsewhere. Demoralizing and condescending attitudes by upper management.

      Very poor management across the board

      Pros

      * Great vacation time and quick build up to extra weeks * Most of the staff are wonderful and friendly in all the offices * Competitive Salary after about 5-10 years experience with the company * Education and some training/seminars are part or fully paid * Work/Life balance is better than some other companies I've worked with * Good health benefits * There are a lot of career opportunities with the company (partly due to the high turnover)

      Cons

      * Management can be dismissive, verbally abusive and emotionally abusive * I have gone to higher up managers in the company and nothing has been done * Going through HR would put me at risk as my name would be made public to the manager and I have dealt with years of abuse and know this would not solve anything but make things worse * Through conversations with other staff across the country I realize that I'm not alone and that management tends to get away with this behaviour * This company has a high turnover, I have watched several colleagues up and leave because of management and pay

However, with respect to the comments regarding management, we do not take this feedback lightly. We absolutely do not condone abusive behavior. Our Workplace Anti-Violence, Discrimination, and Harassment and Bullying Policy outlines our Complaint Procedures for employees who believe they have been harassed in the workplace. We would encourage our employees to speak out. Altus Group will investigate all complaints of harassment, as required by the Policy and the law. We also take steps to protect the confidentiality of the individuals involved in the investigation. We prohibit reprisals of any kind against individuals acting in good faith who report incidents of workplace violence, harassment, bullying and/or discrimination or are identified as witnesses. We would encourage you to speak with someone in HR or another manager you feel comfortable with so that we can take action on this.

      Worst company I’ve ever worked for

      Great benefits and nothing more

      1. Your life depends on which team you’re in. Some of the teams are good but some are really really bad. 2. Some managers lack the knowledge and skills that a manager should have. No direction, they don’t even know how to do the task and ask you to finish. When things go wrong, they blame you. 3. Discrimination - only favours specific race and gender. Treat everyone differently. 4. Micro management in everything which doesn’t make any sense, they just want to please their upper tier management. 5. Hierarchy - the managers think that they are the king/queen, treat you as a number, treat you as a robot, just a machine to help them put numbers together. Doesn’t engage with people. 6. One-way performance review, doesn’t give you a chance to reflect on your feedback. 7. No career development. Just focus on making profit for the company. Not investing in employees. Managers discourage career aspirations and ambitions. Not allowing for client relationship development/networking or career development. 8. Don’t join this company unless you’re of a particular gender/race/is local.
