Pros

- Fully remote. Which is nice because if it was in-office you'd probably find the CEO, VPs, and managers all singing Strangers in Paradise.

Cons

- High degree of nepotism. Unless you can get in, or are brought in, by someone high up you don't stand a chance. - Overinflated titles. - Many in the company, including the VPs, don't know what an ETF is yet alone the difference between a basis point and a percentage point. - CEO had a KPI of 'empathy' one month. This is coming from someone with zero emotional intelligence. Just listen to Alpaca's podcast. Specifically episode 14 at the 19:45 minute mark to see how much EQ the CEO has. - KPIs change monthly. One month we're told what our KPIs are. The next month during the all-hands call we're told 'we're doing this again because tried to measure too many KPIs'. - No competitive advantage and they're going up against major players who have been in the industry for decades. - Still unable to make a profit and the company's evaluation is dropping. - They love internal meetings. On Fridays I had three hours on internal meetings and one manager even complained when one of our meetings only lasted 15 minutes and not 30 because we simply didn't need the entire 30 minutes.

Pros

Fast paced work environment, working with unique customers located all over the world.

Cons

- very poorly structured compensation, and poor communication around it - culture is totally absent here. If it has a shred of importance to you, look elsewhere. - Leadership is constantly changing strategy on monthly basis, impossible to keep up with, and leads to extreme sense of confusion across the org, as the messages are not communicated properly - Roadmap is basically irrelevant, no pressure on achieving deadlines, and rich history of vastly over promising and under-delivering *** Leadership and CEO especially lack the ability to inspire any confidence in the future of this business*** threat of cuts and re-structuring. With no warning, and even less supporting evidence

Pros

A company operating remotely within a multicultural environment.

Cons

They find themselves adrift, possessing financial resources but lacking a clear sense of direction. Additionally, they recently hired hundreds of new employees only to fire them without mercy within a few months, signaling a lack of strategic foresight. This suggests a potential lack of organizational clarity. If considering employment there, exercise vigilance and remain observant.
