These 5 star reviews are a joke

Pros

Free lunch. (Nothing in life is really free though. They only offer free lunches so you’d get your lunch and go back to eat at your desk.) Location is great if you live in the immediate area. Nap room.

Cons

These 5 star reviews are a joke. They were probably written by HR to detract from the negative reviews already on Glassdoor. This place is toxic to work at. There are a few nice people here who do a good job and care about being a good coworker, but most of the people are toxic, obnoxious and fake. Or just plain don’t know how to do their jobs. The product is crap and should be rewritten from the ground up. How this place hasn’t gotten sued for harassment or bullying already is beyond me. Oh and the “unlimited vacation” they tout as a benefit? Take more than 2 weeks of that and they can use it against you. It’s not as appealing in practice as they make it sound to prospective employees. Health insurance is expensive and not great at all.

Pros

Catered lunch, nice lobby, good area. Fun team building events, and some employees are really passionate about the product.

Cons

There is absolutely no onboarding at Alkami. You are just thrown in there and expected to be productive day one. You're lucky if you have a laptop your first day. Everything seems to be broken pretty much all the time, which has caused managers to ask teams to work the weekend. Even if you do work the weekend, you are not acknowledged and there is no plan to avoid something like this from reoccurring. Alkami's bounty program punishes employees that work overtime already, by rewarding others that haven't stepped up to help out already. The culture at Alkami is to work people to exhaustion til they want to quit. Everyone is considered expendable. When employees quit, management tells the rest of the company "they couldn't cut it" to downplay their accomplishments and abilities. HR is untrustworthy and very defensive of upper management.
