Supportive team and great development, but travel required
Pros
Excellent people development team who supported me through al of my induction and probation. the company invest in their employees and only want the best for the clients they support. Diverse company which has a global reach. Each division is backed up by training teams, operations team and business managers who really look after the Clinical Leads and the staff on the ground. Anything needed to improve the life of my clients has been considered and where ever possible put in place. My own team have been amazing. they welcomed me into the team and answered all of my questions, gave me their time and energy to make sure I knew what I was doing and how to do it. This is not a blame game company. If something doesn't work out we are supported to reflect and the division learns from barriers and how to overcome them next time. I would recommend the company to anyone thinking of joining us.
Cons
If you want a small local company this isn't for you. You are expected to travel anywhere in the country (within reason and travel time is given to you) and will always be supporting clients out of your area. This means it takes a while for you to learn geographical areas and to ensure you include travel time in your day. The model for the company is that staff on the ground don't get guaranteed hours but most people working for us want the flexibility this offers i.e. take holidays when they want and don't work if they have other commitments. So if you want the reliability of the same hours every week Monday to Friday this isn't for you. However as Clinical Lead I work Mon to Friday 37.5 hrs per week with 1 week every quarter on call and feel I am very reasonably paid for this amount of responsibility.
