Pros
I joined 360Learning 2.5 months ago, and so far, it has been a pleasant experience. The async culture is refreshing. For the first time, I don’t need to worry about my online status needing to be green all the time. A lot of the time, companies probably don’t care, but we put this pressure on ourselves to appear available at all times. That’s not the case here at all.
However, this also means you need to be accountable and self-disciplined enough to get things done without being micromanaged. The company encourages you to be a manager of one, and that’s exactly how you need to operate to succeed here.
On a macro level, the company is growing but also facing a lot of external pressure and competition—like everyone else. If you come from a company with a big budget and lots of resources, you’ll notice that the budget is on the tighter side here, but still better than a lot of companies out there.
So far, so good. I see myself being here for a long time if the company continues performing at a high level and I get sufficient growth opportunities.
Cons
The insurance benefits aren’t as strong as what I’ve had before. I’m used to my company covering 100% of my benefits, plus a higher budget for things like massages and chiropractors. This is just the reality of a smaller company that’s still growing, but something to be aware of.
