Pros

Flexible hours Modern work environment

Cons

In order to be considered for a promotion, you must be nominated by a team lead who may nominate anyone they favor(especially if you are physically attractive). The management team is extremely bias on who they decide to promote because they decide base on who they like on a personal level versus stats/performance. There are no professional boundaries between management and team leads. No point on trying to voice your concerns because you are just another disposable employee who can be readily replaced.

The place you don't want to be!

Pros

There truly are no pros to working at 24-7 Intouch. Everyone on the "team" is extremely negative and a displeasure to work with.

Cons

If you want to be a part of a company that uses dated technology such as Windows XP with 200 MB of ram, old telephones, and have the chance to work for amazing clients (including a few pyramid scams) who are paying their own real employees much more than you're getting paid, apply to work at 24-7 Intouch! 24-7 Intouch focuses heavily on the upper management experience, working hard to cut budgets and CSR pay to ensure all executives are happy, overpaid, and continuously engaged in booking their future vacations. Now is the time to join a company growing rapidly due to ramping up for the holiday season before mass firing and layoffs.

Pros

- Reliable full-time employment. - Regular schedule every week. - It was easy getting approval for vacation and leave before covid - Open, accepting and non-judgmental workplace for minorities. - Covered parking - Lots of jobs with 24-7 are now work from home due to covid, and several of my cons are related to the physical work environment

Cons

Too many to share all of them, but here are some: - Wages are above minimum but aren't enough for a life with dignity especially for single parents paying rent - Assigned schedules include working absolutely every weekend. There are a select few employees who got lucky having one or both weekend days off, but there's little to no chance of a schedule change unless you have a medical reason - Expect to work every stat holiday unless it's your natural day off, or you booked it off as vacation. And, no. You cannot bank any of your worked stat holidays - Difficult to achieve and maintain KPIs & metrics - KPIs enforced by Team Leads who don't even understand how the numbers are obtained. This is especially stressful when you're regularly reminded of disciplinary actions (including termination) for not meeting targets. Meanwhile management is so overworked there's precious little help for anyone who wants to improve their performance. Even shadowing an experienced colleague for half an hour is a luxury this company won't afford its employees - Keeping-up with productivity expectations was difficult and stressful - Work avoidance is commonplace (ie: manipulation of statistics, taking advantage of brand / account policies to throw colleagues "under the bus", occasionally hostile interactions with agents from other global contact centers) - Training is insufficient. It's a sink or swim "learn-on-the-job" environment and you must be effective teaching yourself new things - It's not a fragrance free workplace and there are too many people wearing perfumes & colognes - Some members of leadership are very young and have behavioral issues. Examples include swearing on the job & during team meetings, loudly discussing inappropriate topics, time wasting & goofing off, favoritism, - Insufficient break areas for the number of people in the building. Expect 10 minutes or more of your 30 minute lunch break to be spent walking to and from the lunch room. And that doesn't include time spent in line to use a microwave. Eating at your desk is not allowed. - Not enough microwaves in break areas - People always standing in hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, and even in break areas due to not enough space - People using the restrooms to make personal phone calls - Not enough washrooms / wc / restroom areas, and not enough toilets in each. Bathrooms are constantly busy, sometimes there are lineups, and you cannot go if one is closed for cleaning because of how long it takes to walk anywhere. - Free "food" (ie: sugary & cheap) every few weeks with "healthier" alternatives (ie: pancakes & tomato soup with crackers) rarely offered - Participation in incentives & prizes to increase employee engagement are available only during your breaks. I've almost never engaged with any of them because (again) walking distances are so long and I just need a break for goodness sake. - Very high turnover. I've made a few friendly connections but people come and go so often that it's all a blur in a week or two. - You're assigned to work for a specific brand and you cannot transfer to another because 24-7 promises a certain number of bodies (aka: employees) to that brand. They'd rather you resign than help you find a brand (aka: a job) that suits your skills and interests. - The annual fire drill was so disorganized and they didn't even do a roll call. Everyone used it as a smoke break. - I could go on but I think I've made my case.
