Description NetLogic Microsystems' chips try to bring logic to the content of the Internet. The company designs and sells knowledge-based processors, which are used in routers and other devices to optimize speed and search capabilities over the Internet, and integrated circuits used in data center, mobile wireless infrastructure, and enterprise networks. NetLogic's customers have included Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Dell, HP, Huawei, and Juniper Networks. The company's semiconductors are principally produced by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing and United Microelectronics. NetLogic Microsystems gets around 80% of sales from outside the US. In 2012 the company was acquired by Broadcom for about $3.7 billion in cash.
