If you're in Idaho and you're into mountains (and who isn't?) Intermountain Gas can help keep you warm. The company distributes natural gas to 305,000 residential and business customers in some 74 southern Idaho communities. Industrial customers, which include potato processors, electronic product manufacturers, and chemical producers, account for 43% of Intermountain Gas' revenues. The company was a subsidiary of Intermountain Industries, a private holding company that also had oil and gas production operations. In 2008 Intermountain Gas was acquired by MDU Resources Group.
