Key Responsibilities
- Loan Administration
- Process daily loan transactions including drawdowns, repayments, repricing, and conversions.
- Business Support
- Maintain relationships with existing and prospective non-lending or low-risk clients, including trade finance clients.
- Cross-sell bank products and services.
- Process deposits and account transactions as needed.
- Compliance
- Assist with CRRs and ongoing reviews to meet AML/ATF and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, and other departments to stay aligned with policies.
- Office Administration
- Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
- Manage office/branch supply inventory.
- Assist with staff expense claims and departmental expense tracking.
- Prepare meeting minutes and support department events.
- Other Duties
- Perform tasks assigned by senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies and regulatory requirements (OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, CDIC, OPC, CRA).
- Support credit applications, renewals, and related documentation.
- Prepare routine reports (reminders, pipeline, projections, insurance/PPSA, weekly/monthly reports).
- Maintain and safeguard loan documents and securities (physical and digital).
- Assist with organizing and digitizing credit files in CGMS and Imaging systems.
Qualification
- Post-secondary degree or certification in related field of study.
- At least 3-year loan and office administrative experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willing to meet people.
- High standard of communication skills in oral and written English and Chinese.
- Pleasant manner in handling customers’ inquiries and complaints.
- Courteous and cooperative attitude towards colleagues and work assigned.
- Complete knowledge of banking products.
- Effective working knowledge in computer software.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle difficult situations.
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English. Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and/or Cantonese is considered an asset.
