1 round of interview, and they kept questioning my background and asking why they should hire me. The vibe was kind of arrogant. Come on, you’re not Tencent or ByteDance. Feels like they do this to shake your confidence and lowball your offer later. Anyway, don’t get fooled by that kind of behavior. I doubt they attract real talent anyway cuz they posted a role and got fewer than 10 applicants in a month.
Background check for education history. What are your strengths etc. Generally the interviewer was observing your performance and did not have small talks. The person was willing to share some insights only if you asked about specific details about the job or the company.
