I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at unybrands (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Applied and had a great first interview with HR promptly. Once I interviewed with the team lead, it was obvious that it was not a good fit. Nothing on my resume or the job description mentioned Python, but the man interviewing kept asking me Python-specific questions. (This continued even after reminding him three times I did not know the language and how I would go about learning more about it) I rescinded my application once the interview was over.

Question 1
Which Python libraries do you have experience using? Please be specific.
I applied for the position of Data Engineer position at unybrands. After an initial screening round, I was presented with a large technical assignment that I had to present within a week after receiving it. I spent 1.5 working days on the technical assignment.
The interview the following week had an atmosphere to it that reminded me of my time in the military. I was basically grilled by my interviewers for the duration of the interview. The technical assignment was mentioned once during the interview, on a tangent.
I was ghosted by the company after the interview.
I interviewed at about a dozen companies in 2024, including FAANG, several startups and large enterprises. The interview at unybrands stood out as the worst experience I had.
