I applied directly on their website to 7 job positions that fits my experience.
They selected my application to the job: "Full Stack Developer - Analytics Tools" and sent to me a challenge to develop in one week.
I finished the challenge on the last day and sent to them all the code and documentation by e-mail.
Two weeks later I was contacted by e-mail scheduling a skype interview to more two weeks forward.
While I was waiting for the interview I made three interviews for another company from Hamburg and I was invited to work with them! But the Trivago interview would occur in few days...
So I made the skype interview where they asked me technical questions mainly about good practices and I was also asked to write some code during the interview.
In the end I made some questions and explained to the interviewer that I have another company that already invited me to join their team and I've made my decision that I would prefer to work at Trivago.
So they scheduled another skype interview two days later.
This last interview was done by the team that I will work with and they asked questions about behavior, attitude involving technical questions.
These two skype interviews were a very pleasant talking, thanks for all professionals that interviewed me.
