Rushed at first, got back to me after the first interview within a week. Gave me an assignment that would lead to the next round of interviews. I spent hours on the assignment, hoping for the best. They marked it as 2 hours, and consisted of a 6 page strategy and 4 memes for a client they already on how to grow them on a social platform. They provided 7 days to complete the assignment which included a 5 minute presentation on the assignment that would be pre recorded. After I finished the work, I practiced my presentation for at least an hour. I'm sure I put in a full days work, at least 6-7 hours, to complete the assignment, This went from researching, writing, designing, editing, conceptualizing and production, Then the day I was about to the submit the work with my practiced and polished recording that I was about to execute, I received an email around 5:30 am that they went with someone else. No apologies about the assignment, no thank you for all your hard work, just an email that wished me the best and the standard keep in touch. What a rip off!!! This is why I hate assignments. They could have least payed me a tiny stipend or acknowledged the effort. So disappointed that this is what the marketplace is and that talent is treated like garbage. Not fair.
