      Associate Software Engineer Interview

      Dec 16, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Radnor, PA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at eMoney Advisor (Radnor, PA) in Nov 2019

      Interview

The most confusing interview process I've ever been through. I had previously interviewed with them 2 years ago (they never informed me of their decision after multiple interviews) after getting more experience I had interviewed them again. After submitting my resume through the web, I received an email by a recruiter to schedule a 15-minute conversation. After setting the time I received the call. Since I had interviewed two years ago the recruiter told me they were changing the process. He then asked if I had a computer around me and I replied no but I said I had a phone on me that I can use (not knowing it was meant for). Disregarding what I had said he sent me a coderpad question by email. So I opened the coderpad question from my phone. He then gave me a problem to solve on the spot on my phone! It wasn't a hard question but I hadn't expected anything like this. While working on the problem I did say I wished you had told me this beforehand so I could have had computer near me. He then replied we can set this up for another time however I was almost done with the problem so I said its fine. Since I coded on my phone (never wrote runnable code like that before) my solution was fine a but sloppy and I told that to the recruiter. Anyways the recruiter told me they would let me know of their decision. Well similar to two years ago they did the same thing again and didn’t reply. On their jobvite site it says the application is still in process however most likely they won’t inform me of their decision. Why waste peoples time.

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at eMoney Advisor (New York, NY)

      Interview

Interview process was good, I was reached out to and told to do a take home test that had some OOP questions, coding exercise and basic JS question. After they reached out to me for a phone interview with the hiring manager I was invited onsite for the final interview The in person was with the hiring manager, tech lead and a senior developer. They were really nice people and were easy to talk to. They asked some behavioral questions about yourself and some technical questions and ended with some white board coding. After that HR has a quick meetup with you and asks how they interview went and gets feedback I got the rejection about a week after the interview. Overall great experience(wish I got the job though haha)

      Providence, RI
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at eMoney Advisor (Providence, RI) in May 2019

      Interview

I was first contacted by a recruiting officer from eMoney to discuss the role and was given a take home project to demonstrate knowledge of coding and interfaces. After this I was given a 30 minute technical phone interview with questions of object oriented topics. The next step after this was an 2.5 hour in person interview meeting with several developers. The meeting is split into multiple sections: background and experience, technical questions, coding exercise, peer programming exercise.
