Glassdoor users rated their interview experience at dcbel as 50% positive with a difficulty rating score of 2.5 out of 5 (where 5 is the highest level of difficulty). Candidates interviewing for Electromechanical Technician and Software Developer rated their interviews as the hardest, whereas interviews for Electromechanical Technician and Software Developer roles were rated as the easiest.
The first round was a video chat with an HR member and another project member. Asking typical questions. Second round was more technical and in person, kind of an evaluation.
Had an initial screening call with a recruiter. Standard questions about experience, personality, etc.
Had a technical interview with a technical person. In general, the interview was pretty normal. This person did have strange technical questions, very "textbook" type, stuff you learn in school but would never need to know in the real world. They did not evaluate actual developer ability.
A few red flags I saw:
-The job was listed as hybrid with 2 days on-site. The interviewer then said it was actually full-time on-site.
-After passing through 2 rounds of interviews, I received no further communication from them. Obviously, they chose to move forward with another candidate (which is fine) but a more refined process would at least send a polite "Thank you for your time" email.

Question 1
Technical interview had old-school textbook type questions. I would brush up on development theory such as threads, async programming, etc...
