I was genuinely excited about the opportunity at airSlate and remained committed throughout what turned into a 7+ week process. The team was friendly and the product seems strong, but there were several pain points along the way that made the experience feel disjointed and ultimately disappointing.
There seemed to be a lack of internal alignment expectations around the role level and compensation shifted very late in the process, even after reference checks and an assignment were completed. Communication was sometimes unclear, and while I appreciated being asked for feedback after each round, very little was shared back with me as a candidate.
It felt like the process lacked transparency and structure, which made it difficult to know where I stood or what to expect next. In the end, I stepped back from the opportunity because the shift in compensation and role no longer aligned with my experience or expectations.
