The process took 3 days. I interviewed at YouTube (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2019
Interview
I applied back in 2013 and it was really easy you just had to submit some basic paperwork it took maybe 5 minutes to be monetized. After maybe 72 hours I got the green light and was able to monetize my videos
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No questions were asked since it was content creation
Process was well-structured and gave me a clear picture of what the team values. Interviewers were friendly and genuinely interested in how I think about content not just what I’ve made before. A big focus was on storytelling, audience retention, and how I use data (like watch time and click-through rate) to refine ideas. I appreciated that they treated content creation as both a creative and analytical job.
