I had a good initial screening where the “Director of Employee Management” even gave me his cell phone number. I then had an only but somewhat awkward interview where the hiring manager seemed more concerned with the books I read then my actual work experience.
I then got completed ghosted by the team with zero communication on any platform no matter how many times I reached out, until I finally reached out the owner on LinkedIn who finally told me that the position was filled.
Very unprofessional company overall, as their team apparently cannot even be bothered to send a 5-word email (“the job has been filled”) and need to waste the owner’s time with those duties.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Yankee Home Improvement (Chicopee, MA) in Mar 2025

Interview
Interview was pretty easy for the most part. Went like a normal conversation. Was asked mostly behavioral and very canned interview questions which weren't too difficult. Lasted about 20 minutes and although the interviewer was nice she didn't seem to be too engaged and came off like she didn't want to be there. Just going through the motions.
