I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yale University
Interview
Simply contact a professor and say you want to work for them. They will usually just have you come into their office and tell you a project that you can work on -- may not respond or just say no if they don't have anything for you to do in their lab.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your interests, why do you want to work on X project
very short interview they asked me what my background was and then gave me some scenarios to run studies and interpret results. I am a statistics major so some questions on how I analyze data and projects I've done in the past. Very nice.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yale University (New Haven, CT) in May 2016
Interview
Emailed for a while. Skype Interview and then an in person interview. Quick turn around in emails but once hired there was a long process in between starting the position.
