I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Yale University (New York, NY) in Feb 2013
Interview
Very brief questions on what you want to be, plans for the future, and technical questions regarding laboratory experience(if any). The atmosphere is very casual, and informative at the same time. If you get an interview you're pretty much hired. So if you live in the area and looking to make some temporary money while you find a real job, this is the position.
