I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yahoo (Sunnyvale, CA)
Interview
Had phone interview and then invited to onsite. 3 interviews plua lunch with team manager. Questions were all about data structures stuff. Nothing too complicated. Never heard back from the recruiter and he never replied back to my emails. Very unprofessional for a big company.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yahoo (Sunnyvale, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
After a video call/screen share tech screen, I had an onsite at their campus in Sunnyvale that began with a tour and free lunch. The quality of the interviews themselves varied greatly based on the interviewer, and also got repetitive––I found myself answering the same questions during every round.
It was very algorithm-focused, with an emphasis on looking for both small and large optimizations (have your CS fundamentals down) and being cautious.
