I was referred by a customer. I interviewed with 6 members of the team. The VP, the Sr. Directors...and the team. This was over a period of 4 months. Some of the executive members of the team forgot the calls, others took them from airport boarding lines. Other than that, everything went well. I was told by the VP that I could expect an offer in two weeks. 40 days later, after reaching out weekly, I was told that the HR Recruiter would call me. When I talked to him, he said he'd be building an offer and he sent me the benefits package for review. We talked about salary, start date etc. Thank god I didn't quit my job. One month went by, then the new year came, and another month. Then, after leaving a couple messages on the VPs mobile...he had the Director call me and say the position is on hold but, keep in touch. This was a really bad way to treat people in the professional world. I have since spoken to another former colleague who shared a very similar experience.
This is bad.
