I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wise (Bengaluru) in Sep 2022
Interview
Miscommunication from HR
====================
The interview process took three weeks.
First week: Had one round for 30 minutes of technical discussion with lead . - cleared
First week: Had a detailed technical discussion for with 2 engineers. -cleared
Second week: HR was on PTO so nothing got scheduled.
Third week: Final interview was conducted and I was informed that it is a more of feedback and cultural fit interview. It was a working day for me and I went to the interview with a relaxed mind considering the agenda being non-technical aspects. To my surprise, the interview was completely technical and I stammered since I was not in the right frame of mind for the same.
I got rejected afterwards, I knew the interview did not go well as I the communication from the HR team was incorrect.
I would suggest the company to be clear with the agenda in the interviews so that they get the best out of candidates during the process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Wise (London, England) in May 2024
Interview
HR call asking why interest the role, past experience, sharing a bit about the role, then if succeed, it will go to the next stage
Pair Programming with two engineers on algorithm for an hour long. This is the worst experience that i had so far. At first, it was a more senior engineer who guide the process. I think he got mad or not satisfied with the answer that I gave. He suddenly asked whether i wanna sort my input array in ascending or descending order in a very loud voice. I think since then, he kept silence during the whole interview without even asking me a single question (obviously because im not giving a correct answer) then another engineer guided me the process. But even if a candidate cant get the correct output, does he/she deserve to treat like this. The engineer show no profession in doing the interview and he gave me that he is no interest in hiring me and just went silence. This is so unprofessional
Stop wasting your time in the company that is unprofessional in the interview process.
