      Crew Member Interview

      Oct 4, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Cruz, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Whiting's Foods (Santa Cruz, CA) in Mar 2014

      Interview

Recruiter comes to the school, and as long as you do not have gauges, piercings, visible tattoos, or colored hair, you're hired and given a training binder. A week or two later, you will be asked to attend a training meeting at the headquarters, in which they show you how to operate the cash register. Everything else that you need to know is in a binder at the store (there are multiple stores), though if you want to find your way to the store, it may be difficult. They show a training video that doesn't quite explain what is needed, but more of showcases the rides and the foods at the boardwalk.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Very basic. Mostly just talking about experience, there wasn't much more than that.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whiting's Foods (Santa Cruz, CA) in Mar 2014

      Interview

The interview process is quite simple. You apply online or in office, if initially selected, you get a call back. One thing to note is that if it is near the end of the year, you'll need to apply again if you do not get a call back. Applications are disposed of at the end of the year. Once you get a call, schedule an interview, you go on in and have a one on one chat with one of the managers. One thing that I noticed is that upon bringing in my resume, I was asked about what one of my references would say if they were to call them. The funny thing was, said reference did not even have a phone number; just an email address. This would detonate the ease of the interview process.
