I applied online. I interviewed at WeInfuse (Austin, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
I had one interview with them, bad interview but I still rate them 5 starts. Their interview actually made pushed me into self-realization how bad I am at interview.
I applied the job, got a phone scree, in the screen I was asked how much did I know about the company, I said not much. That's it, from here I could sense the interview going downhilll.
I received the rejection email after a few days and was fuming initially as in my mind I'm a great candidate and I was local to their office (Austin, TX)
After doing a bit of a research about the company, it turns out it is indeed a really great company. They are people first and treat their employees really well.
So, it was natural for the hiring team to hire someone who actually has an interest in the company and its mission, not only the job.
Lesson learnt! Prepare well for the companies you want to be a part of.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WeInfuse (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The first 30-minute interview with a CS Manager and Account Director was great. The questions were relevant and specific. Afterwards, I was asked to complete a personality test.
The on-site interview with 2 VPs and the CEO was unusual. It was clear within the first few minutes that they weren’t seriously considering me for the role. The CEO arrived late because he needed to get coffee and announced that he hadn’t reviewed my resume. The questions were extremely broad and didn’t have much relevance to the role. For instance, you might expect questions about dealing with difficult clients, navigating the ambiguity inherent in a small company, isolating complex technical issues, or communicating with engineers. There were no questions about how I would approach the unique challenges of the position. After 30 minutes, they were out of “questions” and I was left to fill the time. The CEO probably utilized 75% of the entire interview.
Afterwards, I got an email that said “This is not the news you expected to hear.” Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Question 1
"What are some projects you've worked on?" "What is your day-to-day at your current job?"
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad the initial interview with our team was a positive one. Our senior-level interviews tend to be more casual and conversational in nature, and less question-focused, as we want candidates to feel at ease rather than under pressure.
We're sorry the on-site interview fell short of your expectations. Please know we take candidate experience seriously and appreciate the feedback. Every candidate who invests time in our process deserves a prepared experience. We wish you all the best in your search.
