Difficult interview
Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Apr 2021
Interview
The interview process is 4 parts - recruiter screen, hiring manager meeting, case study and panel with case study. The case study is practical as opposed to theoretical. Overall, the process was communicative and cordial.
Offers require a unanimous decision, and some are very selective. Interview questions were often obscure, and require very specific details.
It did not feel like the recruiter and the interview team were aligned. Feedback throughout the process was very positive, but after several rounds, I did not receive an offer.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Wayfair in Jul 2021
Interview
Let me briefly describe the completely broken interview process at Wayfair. A quality process will result in quality candidates being selected more often. This process is completely subjective, nonsensical and designed to merely be a series of hoops to jump through with a random chance of failure at every hoop. Further, the talent acquisition team is incompetent.

Question 1
Case: Returns - This interview was put forward to me on THREE different interviews as they had lost a previous result, "required" I take the case, scheduled the WRONG case as a repeat, then did all that all over AGAIN.
