I recently went through a disappointing interview process. After completing approximately three hours of online assessments, I was invited to an interview. However, shortly before the scheduled time, the company informed me via email that they required a French-speaking candidate—something that was never mentioned in the job description or any prior communication.
When I responded to clarify, my emails were ignored, and ultimately, they failed to show up for the scheduled interview without any explanation. This lack of professionalism and respect for candidates' time was frustrating and unprofessional. Clear communication and transparency are fundamental to a positive candidate experience, and unfortunately, this company fell short.
