      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Apr 1, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Warner Bros. Discovery (Atlanta, GA)

      Interview

I was actually really disappointed with my interview experience with WM. I wanted to be positive and like it so much, but they treat you like a number. In college, everyone wanted an internship with them. I understand it's so competitive and they have so many applications to go through. I've been applying for internships and full-time positions for 3 years now, and I didn't get one interview until some months ago. I have tons of experience, good grades in school, good references, a film portfolio, etc, and I've gotten to final round interviews with a couple of their competitors. When I finally got an interview it was through hirevue, an interview that is recorded without an interviewer. It's a technology that weeds out people based on facial recognition and word recognition software (recently saw it on an mbti documentary). Anyways, my recruiter was so sweet at first and was very responsive after I told her how excited I was. She said they would get back to me in a week. After a week and a half pass by without anything, I emailed her asking if any decision for the next round was made. No response. Another week has passed by, so I decided to call. No response, but I left a message. I see her active on Linkedin all the time, so I messaged her and no response. I waited more time and finally emailed the general hr email asking if there was any update because my application was still "under review" for weeks after the first interview, and they added her in the email and that's when she finally told me they weren't going to continue. I was sad, but I understood. She told me to contact her directly if I saw another position I liked. I worked two hours on my cover letter for another position and contacted her to ask if they were still hiring for the position - no response. Bad communication. I understand there are so many people applying, but it puts a bad taste in my mouth that no one answered me for weeks after first interview. And don't offer help in front of other hr people and not respond when I contact. Disappointed in this company.

      Interview

Sent the resume through Workday - Then you will go into a recruitment process which can take very long for a response. For me it was through Poland, then London and then finally a talk at the office.

There werent any 'big' questions. Questions were more based on motivation and why you want to work at WBD.

      Interview

Applied on LinkedIn. Then I got an email from HR to do Hirevue video questions. After I did Hirevue, I got an email from the hiring manager to do a first round interview, which was fairly easy as the hiring manager asked standard questions and gave more details about the role. In the next week, I got a call for a second round interview with another person on the team.
