I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walgreens (Milwaukee, WI) in Nov 2016
Interview
I interviewed for a designated hitter position. This title is for employees that are trained on the sales floor and in pharmacy. When the pharmacy is busy, the designated hitter will be called to come and work as a technician to get the line of customers down. This position is also a way for the pharmacy manager to test the abilities of the employee to consider them to be promoted to a pharmacy technician. To my understanding, the interview questions I had were the exact same questions that a person who wanted to be a customer service associate would be asked.

I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview itself was very easy. Questions were predominantly about how to handle difficult customers, my availability, and my interest in the position. My interview lasted about 15-20 minutes and was centered around the expectations of the work I would need to carry out.
Typical retail interview, walked into the store and interviewed with store manager rather than hiring person. Were only interested in when I could start and if I felt comfortable in retail.
Very straightforward and went on for the interview in person. Staff was nice during the interview. Just went into the back office for a quick interview. Pay was talked about as well as duties.
