Phone scanner with HR then in person with 3 people and finally 2 phone calls. This was beyond the most unprofessional interview process I have gone through. There was no structure, and no communication with HR. I took time off of work multiple times to speak in person and on the phone with the team, and HR was always checking in to see that I was still interested, and was well aware I had other offers and was going through the interview process with other firms as well. He said things like how WTW was “looking for someone soon” and expedited along the process to get me in as soon as possible.
After a week of interviews I emailed him thanking him for the teams time and asking when I could expect to hear back. He replied with just (no greeting or ending) “How did it go from your point of view?” A bit of a strange question that did not at all address any of my questions in my previous email, I sent back just hours after explaining I was still interested, things went well, and again asking for when I could expect to hear back.
Days later I still had no response. I emailed HR again. I finally heard back from him on Monday after my first email saying he was speaking with the team today, and I replied AGAIN asking for clarity about what time frame this meant, I had other offers I was putting on hold for this process etc. He responded again with vague information, that he cannot promise a role again BS.
I finally called HR today and still could get no clarity from him. I explained, I just need a timeframe — a week, two weeks, a month, a year? He would give no indication at all that WTW had any organization to the interviewing process and just “did not know”.
I let him know, as I am letting you know, that I am beyond appalled at the unprofessionalism displayed through him and the recruiting process. I had a wonderful time chatting with the team, and was truly interested in the role, but the lack of organization is deplorable and speaks volumes as to this company's values.
