I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at WSP (Birmingham, England) in Nov 2018
Interview
Started with online application which was standard, followed by a video interview with quite a few questions. Then got invited to interview centre. They put me up in a hotel for the night and sorted travel which was good. All the HR staff were really nice. The assessment centre was pretty chilled. A long introduction without assessment to begin, then a short group exercise before lunch. The afternoon was interviews and a technical task. The technical task was kind of architecture rather than engineering but pretty fun. The interviews were standard 'tell us about a time...'. Heard back within about a week.
It was a 30min virtual interview with bridge engineers. They did not asked technical questions about the course work or software at this stage. The questions were easy yet tricky.

Question 1
Tell me about your internship experience.
What is the subject you enjoyed the most in your school?
My interviewer went through his list of questions. Mostly behavioural - asking how you'd deal with stakeholders and how you'd manage tasks etc. You need to sell yourself. Don't forget to think in advance what makes you stand out from other candidates. Got the offers from other companies first so I withdrawn
First step: Video interview which included a set of questions with timed responses.
Second step: Face to face interview with two members of the team I would join if successful.
