      Production Foreman Interview

      Oct 28, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Lachine, QC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at WATTCO (Lachine, QC) in Aug 2021

      Interview

First I got contacted by a headhunter hired by Wattco to find a person for the role. Standard phone interview to get to know a bit more information from both parties. About two weeks later I get a phone call from the same headhunter for an in person interview with the operations manager, this time at Wattco's manufacturing plant in Lachine. Operations Manager was friendly and welcoming, seemed to know what he was looking for and asked the right questions which pertained a lot to the actual position. Interview lasted about an hour, we got to know a lot about each other and the company. Quick tour of the plant before leaving. Overall a good interview. Third interview followed about a week later this time at Wattco's headquarters in Lasalle, with the company's CEO (which at the time nobody mentioned it). This interview was less about the role itself but about fitting in the company. CEO acted very arrogant as many questions were asked about my current role and how it compared to the role they were looking for. Many "ifs", many "what would you do", many "concerns". As all questions and concerns were answered to the best capacity, after about an hour the interview ended and then nothing. I was ghosted completely without a single word afterwards. No e-mail, no text, no phone call, no nothing. This company which boasted of being professional and leaders in the industry didn't find one minute of their time to send at least a rejection message, especially for the position. This shows you just how professional they are. No consideration for those who are currently employed and need to take some time off to go to these interviews, and regardless of the outcome for the candidacy, I found the lack of feedback totally unprofessional and improper. This just shows how things could be once hired. Up to today I still see the same job ad for this position, constantly being reworded, changing the title, duties, etc, as it seems they still can't find that perfect candidate they so much wish for. Do yourself a favor and don't take them seriously.
