This company is very unprofessional, unethical, and unworthy. The hiring process took a little over a month. The HR Manager was a newly created role, as the company didn't even have a HR Professional in place. VMC hired a medical consulting firm to manage their needs of seeking a HR Manager. Although, none of the individuals (Practice Administrator, Business Director or Consultant) communicated with one another. I was told by the Business Director, an offer was going to be made to me, as I was the top runner for the position (no offer letter was ever presented to me on a company letter head-this was word of mouth). Then I was asked by the Practice Administrator for my professional references only for them to never be contacted. Then a week later the Consultant contacts me and ask for my professional references and consent to conduct a background check (the company doe not conduct drug tests-so if you do illegal drugs, this will be the place for you). Again, none of my references were contacted. In the mean time, I submitted my business portfolio to the Practice Administrator to review while the background process was being conducted. However, while applying for other jobs (at this point I knew these individuals were stringing me along), I come across a new job description from the same company (Victory Medical Practice) that they are looking for a HR/Operations Manager with a newly created job description. All the job functions consist of ideas, suggestions, programs/projects, and degrees that I had obtained in order for them to create such a position. Needless to say, I went to VMC and retrieved my business portfolio, and two days later, I received an email stating the company decided to go with another candidate who's experience and skills coincided with their business needs. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING FOR ANY POSITIONS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE VERY UNETHICAL AND A WASTE OF TIME! Lesson of the month, never trust a company who doesn't conduct drug testing or have any HR policies/procedures (HR Professional) in place.
