I had a truly disappointing experience with the interview process at ViaSat, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to warn others. From start to finish, it was a textbook example of how not to conduct recruitment.
Firstly, the process dragged on for an excruciatingly long month. After numerous rounds of interviews and assessments, I was finally given a verbal offer. Naturally, I was thrilled, as it seemed like a promising opportunity. However, my enthusiasm was short-lived when a week passed, and I still hadn't received an official offer letter.
Concerned about the delay, I reached out to HR for clarification. To my dismay, I was met with vague responses and empty promises. Every time I inquired about the status of my offer letter, I was assured that it was with upper management for final approval and that I would receive it imminently. This song and dance continued for several days, with no end in sight.
Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I received a call from HR informing me that, despite the previous assurances, they had decided not to proceed with my candidacy. I was dumbfounded. How could they lead me on for so long, only to abruptly pull the rug out from under me?
The utter lack of professionalism displayed by both HR and upper management at ViaSat is simply unacceptable. Their incompetence and disregard for candidates' time and emotions are glaringly evident throughout the entire recruitment process. I urge anyone considering a position at ViaSat to think twice and proceed with caution. It's clear that this is not a company that values integrity or respects its potential employees. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for employment opportunities.
