I applied online and got phone interview opportunity with a research staff. He directly asked questions about my technical background he is interested in. He was late for the scheduled interview but he was nice during the interview and glad to answer my questions regarding the position and his team. He ended up offered another candidate with more relevant background and wished me good luck in seeking better opportunities a week after the interview.
