I applied online. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Virginia Beach, VA) in Apr 2020
Interview
The interview was a video interview. There were 2 questions and you had a set time period to answer them. The responses also had a time limit. After recording the responses, you submitted your video recordings on their website. The interview was not live like a videoconference would be. There was also time to pause and think or to re-record responses before submitting them. It was nice not to have to leave home. The only drawback is that because the interview wasn’t seen by the company in real-time, I waited over a month before my submitted interviews were reviewed
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (University Park, MD) in Aug 2025
Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
