      Mathematics Tutor Interview

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Orlando, FL) in Nov 2016

      Interview

The interview process was not too formal. When I applied to the job, I received an email to set up a video interview through another company. I was able to complete the interview at whatever time I chose, from home (which was convenient). The way the interview worked was: -Log into a third-party interviewer website -Watch a short video of a Varsity interviewer ask a question -Record a video response to the question -Repeat (About 6 times, if I recall). After the interview, I had to pass a 10-question quiz for each subject I wanted to tutor.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Broad Questions like: How would you describe your personal teaching philosophy? Specific Questions like: How would you teach a student to solve this specific problem?
