Skype. The entire process of getting hired, screened, etc., took about a month, so be prepared to give it some time.
Remember that VRMC will give you the PBDS test within a week or two of hire, unless you're experienced and/or agency RN. The PBDS is a difficult, timed, online test, but even if you 'fail' it, you will not be rejected. They will continue to monitor you and test you. You have to devise your own study materials from med-surg books. I advise studying and trying to pass it. Google PBDS to find out more.
You'll have to first give a medical diagnosis (not nursing diagnosis). You'll be asked to give prioritized nursing interventions for several different presentations, most of them emergencies. In your responses, use abbreviations and remember to give a rationale for each intervention. They'll ask what you'd do, in what order, and what you'd tell the PCP. Some are basic safety. Be sure you know exactly what to do in a fire on the facility.
