I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Upstate Music Therapy Center (Penfield, NY) in Oct 2009
Interview
After submitting a resume, which can and should include clinical experience through college and internship, the supervisor contacts by phone to set up an interview. The interview process is relaxed and includes questions related to clinical experience and general background and interest in music therapy. Part of the interview does include a simple 'audition' of a children's song, with the expectation that you can play the guitar and sing in tune. Song choice is open to the interviewee.

Question 1
This question was posed at another facility, but it's relevant for any music therapist and completely threw me off. "If someone who previously worked with one of your current clients asked 'How is ___ doing?' what would you say to them?"
