I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Helsinki, Southern Finland) in Apr 2020
Interview
Positive recruitment experience.
1. I had a screening call with Bex (recruiter). She described the role and checked my background, motivation.
2. I was contacted by Nik (recruitment coordinator). He notified me that I was selected for the next step - 1:1 with a hiring manager. Nik asked me to choose timeslots to organize the call and provided me with all information that might be needed to prepare for the interview.
3. Interview with Tracy (the hiring manager). It went exactly how Nik explained before - informal conversation to check my skills and background deeper as well as to describe the role and give more insights about it. Also, Tracy gave me enough time to ask my questions, and she was very open to answering them.
4. I got a refusal because of lacking some essential skills for that role. However, I didn't feel disappointed since Bex provided me with detailed feedback on my candidacy, and I got some insights on what I should improve.
Summing up, a very professional recruitment process from the start to an end. I'll definitely apply for new roles in Unity in the future.
Great process overall! The team was very willing to share in depth details about role responsibilities. They were very quick in getting a response over to me and the HR team was supportive in providing resources I needed for the interview.
