I applied online. I interviewed at United Nations (New York, NY) in May 2012
Interview
45 minutes by phone in front of four seniors staff. The questions will be around the job description and core areas of united nations. They will give you a situation related with the job and they will ask the concrete questions.

Question 1
How you will manage the accountability matters in your position as public information officer
Cold tone of the recruiting team, extremely short interview which barely gives you the chance to answer properly, even though the questions aren’t hard. Feels very bureaucratic and excessively formal

Question 1
- Weaknesses and strengths
- Interest in the position
Interviews at the United Nations follow the same format: Virtual interviews; Panel of 3 people; Most probably you would have done a test prior to this stage. Competency interviewing questions based on the TORs. Have examples in hand cause that's what they will value the most.
