      Machine Learning Engineer Interview

      Dec 31, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Udemy

      Interview

I think the system design part of the interview was a bit vague. Questions were asked too ambiguously and I drifted away from the solution. I did not get any online coding assessment during any of the 5+ interviews, which was a bit weird for my taste. I was only asked to review a piece of Python code in one of the interviews, which I think does not really prove any computer science knowledge of the candidate. I applied for Machine Learning Engineer position but every single person that interviewed me was from the Data Science department. So, most of the questions were related with the data part of the machine learning pipeline. So, I think the relevant job title must be Data Science Engineer. At least, it was how I felt.
